Google redirect, killed Spybot, no updates possible, etc.

    Has worked flawlessly till this past week....THEN

    Prevented from updating: WindowsXP; AVG; Zone Alarm;
    Killed Spybot altogether.
    Unable to go to previous restore point.
    Found a several files like "Windows\system32\ncpa.cpl.manifest" and several more with same "manifest ".

    Googled filename, but was redirected to ads. Had to go to work to be able to google filename. Seems to be a lot of people with this problem, but no one had any fixes for it. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME?

    I am not a programmer or anything like that, but I'm not a dummie either. Would appreciate it if you didn't assume that I know as much as all of you when it comes to this stuff. Will do my best!!!

    I'm a little confused as to the logs to post. Don't know which ones to post.

    From the page I pointed you to .....
    So copy/paste the contents of each log file into this thread - you may need to spread them over 2 or more posts.
