Just spent 10 days getting R TKJR in 2 Hospitals. I'm now changing freezer packs every couple of hours to try and get the swelling down to enable stretching exercises to quads and get the flexion working. Total Knee Joint Replacement was not the straight forward op I thought as blood reaction caused my right leg to swell to nearly twice the size of my left leg.
I hadn't managed to concentrate long enough whilst in Hospital to take part in BBS discussions. But I'm back in familiar surroundings now and I see there is little to worry about at the moment. ;) Neil.

    Hi Neil,
Sorry to hear about your complications, I won't tell my wife she is waiting for a Hip Replacement.
Hope that you will be up and running soon.
What'll your wife think if you can't chase her :p:p

Thanks Bill, apparently it's not uncommon to get reactions but it's more of a setback. I didn't feel like using the comp or watching TV - just catching up with the 4 days I lost.
I hope your wife has a straight forward op. Neil.

Neil - best wishes for a speedy recovery - that's a nasty operation. On the up side I have friends who have had both knees replaced and they are fine & enjoying a new lease of life!

    Welcome back.

Most people I know that have had a knee or hip replacement say they wish they had done it sooner:eek:
