Good Morning World

Well folks it is the day after and I am still alive and kicking. ( more of the latter LOL ) Eveyone is gone and I have housecelaning to do but again it is well worth it.
WOW !! Is it ever quiet around here. LOL

We had a GREAT time with the family. I had to lower the so called boom a couple of times but that was to be expected. I walked into the living room once with a BIG wooded spoon in my hand. I said nothing but WOW !! did thngs quiet down FAST !!
But over all the kids were GREAT. They were ABSOLUTELY wonderful in understanding and helping Grandma.

But one of the best few minutes of all I just have to share.
We took Nancy shopping for a new recliner. We were showing her an electic powered one.
All of the sudden we hear her say LOUDLY.

Every one within hearing distance just ROARED with laughter.

But the bottom line is,
Overall we had a GREAT holiday. And I hope you all did too.

Nancy is calling so I gotta go

YES !!
It is on its way in day or two.
And an electirc powered one too.

We are just sittin here now disussing what ( or who ) is going to move out to make room for it. We decided that the 20 some year old ( well worn ) sofa was the one to head OUT.

Another thing that I foregot to add.
The salesmen ( 3 of them ) also helped in making the decsion when they watched her getting into and out of various chairs.
That is one reason ( the biggest ) that we went to a MEDICAL supply store and not just some off the wall department store.
OH, Another argument from Nancy was settled VERY quicklly. She kept mentioning COST. The reply ( from all ) was;
"MONEY is NOT the issue here."

Good Grief.
Guess who has got go sit on the worn out sofa for now ?

I just turned around and looked and I see someone getting a MUCH NEEDED rest in my Recliner.
And the frist person to even attempt to disturb her will hear it LOUDLY from me.
And even you folks in the UK might hear me LOL
Well, I guess that it is time for me to go get out of my brandnew VERY comforable robe and get ready so that when Nancy does wake up we can go shopping to get stuff to refill a nearly empty refrigerator and cupboards.

I am outta my robe. New chair is in place and being enjoyed. Electric and all.

Shopping still not done but, Oh well so what. It is raining and may possiblely turn to snow. So I think I will stay in where it is nice and warm and comfortable.

But sitting here and seing her sitting there more Comfortable with a big SMILE on her face and being able to tip it up and make it easier for her to get up out of makes the wait for food worth it.

Another bit of humer. I heard a bit of commotion from the other room and checked to see what was going on. I did not have to look far after I heard the words " Get outta there. That is Grandmas chair. And stop playing with it. "

I had no comment cause I was laughing too hard.

Shopping still not done.

Another thing that happened.

Grandma was confronting the kids about what they were doing.

One of them said " don't yell at us because the biggest/oldest kid of all started it and he is standing right behind you. "

10 bucks says your first guess as to who they were referring to would be right.

Now. If this post says ANYTHING other than the fact that we had a GREAT Holiday then I did not write it properly.

Pork Roast is in the Oven.
Potatoes are pealed and ready to cook.
So I am back adding more to the book.

Gone away is the Bluebird
He has been replaced by the Snowbird
So we can go nowhere.
So I guess we will just have to share the TV
And enjoy each others company,
As we sit side by side and lean back,
In our very comfortable chairs.
