Good download site for sound schemes?

    Does anyone know of a good website for downloading sound schemes for Windows XP? I am looking for a few sound schemes with soft sounds or classical music excerpts. A few Google searches haven't returned anything suitable. I don't use Windows a whole lot so maybe I don't know the right terms to search for, but I thought sound scheme was the term for the startup/shutdown, minimize/maximize, error, new mail, etc. sounds.

    You might have better luck searching for .wav files and customizing the sounds you want. I don't believe I've ever run across a website that has 'sound schemes', but there are all kinds of .wav files. HTH

    And when you/ve found what you want copy them to the Windows\Media folder. They will then be listed when you go Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds
