Recently my Virus program found a file in the windows/system directory called 'goinuninstall.exe'. It was apparently a dialer program with a trojan virus in it. Has anyone ever heard of this file? Sounds like one of the many programs that some web pages slap onto your system without you wanting them to.

If any one has any info re: this file, please let me know.

    Thx,

I couldn't find a thing regarding that program either. In any event, my AVG virus pgm healed it and locked it into its vault until I can find out more about it (I'm feeding it chicken soup and bread crumbs for now).

I'll try the online link you gave me too, can never be too careful.

    Thx,

It's part of a dialer program called Goin.exe. You picked it up surfing the darker sites. Just one of many dialer.exe programs. Delete it. Do Daisy's suggestion. Also take a look in c:windows/downloaded program files.
