Is there a way in GoBack to specify, in advance, which files or folders are NOT to be recovered. That way, a file that should not be replaced will not be in the Rescue List and possible ignored.

I have lost valuable files by missing them in the rescue list and they were then lost for good.

GoBack is very versatile and may have more capabilities than you realize.

When you do the "Drive Revert," all files are restored to the condition they were at the date you selected. If any files are changed that you didn't want changed, merely use the GoBack program to create a virtual drive as it was prior to the Revert and select the file from that virtual drive to replace the present one. As an alternate, you can right click any file and select to restore a Version that suits your needs. Consider this also, you can even revert the drive back to where it was prior to the first revert, so in essence, you're going back to the future. It's pretty hard to lose any data unless you tax the capacity of the GoBackio.bin history file.

Another point to consider and take advantage of is, when the first reboot screen appears after a drive revert, you'll see a list of files that have been changed. If you so desire, you can select any of those and recover them to their original state prior to the revert.

Using the GoBack File Rescue Window, available in the GoBack Deluxe and Enterprise Editions, you can selectively rescue files "lost" due to a recently completed drive revert (that is, files deleted or modified as a result of a drive revert). After a drive revert, the File Rescue Window appears each time Windows starts during the next hour. After that time, you can use the GoBack File Recovery Window to recover files.
