    can anyone tell me is Go back a good back up program for winddows xp home edition.?

    It's a great program for short term correction of errors but not anything near as good as a frequent disk image for long term protection.

    If you have kids or even beginners operating your system or if you often get adventurous and try cleaning the Registry and muck it up, then GoBack is highly recommended. On an XP system with normal activity, you can expect that it will allow going back approximately 3 days and with a low usage system as much as 2 weeks.

    Read the help files and be aware of the impact that it has on some disk operations. For example, any changes in partitions require you to disable or uninstall GoBack. Likewise for OS changes.

    Try it and see if it fits your needs. I used it for many years and have it installed on all the immediate family's computers to keep them running smoothly without me having to scratch my head so much.

    For my own computer, I use Acronis True image instead. YMMV
