Giving Admin rights to a specific folder

    I have a Windows XP Pc that my user is currently with Power User rights. I can log in as admin with administrator rights.

    I need to give him full administrator rights on a specific folder but i don't want to give him ful administrator rights to the entire c drive just that folder.
    how can i do that.
    need help.

    I don't think you can. What's in the folder and what the user need to be able to do?

    You can use the CACLS command to allow individual users to access otherwise forbidden files and folders.

    Perhaps a clearer example here.

    Enclose path in quotes if any embedded spaces therein.

    You can also do this same action from the GUI by clicking on the Security Tab of the Properties for the particular file or folder.
