gigabyte suberb and geforce 460 1giga

    is gigabyte suberb power supply 550 watt enough
    to power geforce 460 1giga
    my rig contains 2 sata 1dvdrw 1 cdrom 1tv card
    2 80mm fans and 1 120mm fan

    but its real power is 450 watt
    550 watt is peak power isit still good or not

    Hmmm, I really like Gigabyte motherboards but I'm a little disappointed in their marketing folks for the labeling of that PSU. AcBel Polytech is the actual maker of Gigabyte PSUs and they apparently do the same labeling trick.

    That said, reviews have shown the Superb 550 GE-P450N-C2 (450W) to be an excellent PSU. It should also be noted that computers don't draw peak power all of the time, just every so often. So in theory, that PSU should be fine. BUT - I would opt for a bigger one (or a true 550W) just in case you decide to add more RAM, another drive, or a bigger CPU next year.
