Resolved Ghost drive F: keeps appearing

    For some time now every so often I get a ghost usb drive appear as drive F: it has been the system drive in the past and I have removed it in disk management by removing the drive letter but it has now reappeared as a unallocated drive with the letter F: but when I go into disk management there is no drive shown with that drive letter and when I double click the icon it wants you to insert a disk, any help would be very welcome.

    Have found the problem it is my Samsung usb connected printer if no usb drive is inserted at the same time it grabs drive F:

    In Folder Options > View > you can select "Hide empty drives in computer folder...

    I do not seem to have " Hide empty drives in computer folder " as an option in folder options view

    Should be in .....

    Control Panel > File Explorer Options > View tab > Hide empty drives.
