For those of you that use the Windows 8 Metro Screen at all probably have noticed that you have to press Windows+C to check out the time anymore. Since I installed Windows 8 for the first time last night, that was the first thing that really stuck out to me.

I spent a lot of time finding apps for the homescreen that would display an updated clock. I found alot of duds but one good one in paticular I found was Tile Time.

It displays a analog and/or digital time piece that you can customize color and font size as well as 12/24 hour format. You can change font type as well if you upgrade to the paid version. (the default font is quite satifactory)

    I thought I'd give a hint from a new windows 8 user

It is a personal choice, I know, but I try to avoid installing too many of those small, but, sometimes, useful apps. In the case of the clock, however, I have got used to the mouse sweep across to the corner, to display the time, when needed.

I totally understand that point of view, hopefully MS will push an update soon that would just add an option to throw the time in the bottom right corner of the start screen, and I can uninstall. I'm not to concerned with the performance of my machine right now as my specs are great enough not to mind the tiny extra burden but I could understand this POV especially for people who are upgrading from older systems or just want the best performance possible from thier machines

Hee! Hee! - I found it quite amusing that after reading this thread and deciding to try Time Tile for myself that it took 3 minutes for the app store to boot up,7 minutes to install and a further 3 minutes on first booting it until I actually got the time off it...
(Yes i did actually time it..:)
