Getting rid of the connection popup

    Hi
    Does anybody know how to stop or make the popup that appears above the taskbar with the speed when you connect with a dialup connection in win xp visible for about 5 seconds
    I know you can click on the cross but i would if possible just have it done automatically
    many thanks for any help

    You can ignore it, and it will go away on its own, or you can get TweakUI from MS and kill all balloon tips. You can also choose not to display the connection icon at all, but that might not be practical for a dial up connection.
