I'm getting a new Dell Vostro 1710 soon and would like to know how to get IE6 as my browser... Should I install 6 and then uninstall whatever is shipped with the computer, that is 7 or 8?

    Thanks for your help

Hi ToroGuns. I assume the computer is running Windows XP? If you get the computer and it has IE7 or IE8 installed just click Start< Control Panel< Add/Remove Programs and remove IE7 or IE8 from there. This will bring the browser back to IE6. If you don't mind me asking why do want to back to IE6?

    Hi,

I ran 7 and 8 unsuccessfully (Sloooow) on my Dell 9400 recently and could revert back to 6 because it was already on the computer.

This is a New computer with Vista Ultimate and XP pro, and I don't think 6 is installed at the factory. I really don't want 7 or 8 as my browser!

    Thanks
