Resolved getting picture from pc camera

I have a small video/still camera with 4 GB.

It connects to the pc via USB.

It functions as video and still camera away from the computer

but the instructions say it can also function as a pc camera

I would like to set up up for skype for real time video

But when I open up its drive I get the folders "Video" and "Photo "

I set it up while a skype account was active but cannot find a live picture.

Does the drive need to be formatted for this pc?
Or do I find the picture through a skype menu option?

Although I got a picture from the pen camera, so far it does not give me a picture for skype.

the pen camera seems to automatically go off

even before that I do not see the way to connect skype to the camera either through skype or the camera.

I may have to buy another web cam.

I think I want a mic separate from the camera so I will not disturb anyone speaking into a mic on the webcam.
