Windows Vista Getting old updates since installing SP2

I am showing updates in Windows update since I installed Vista SP3. Is this correct or do I have a problem. TIA!

 

As far as I know there is no SP3 for Vista. SP2 was the last service pack for Vista.

 

Your My System shows you have XP SP3. You are asking a question about Vista. XP does have a SP3 and Vista only has SP2. Which is it?

 

Mr Bill - Yes I do have XP, SP3 but my hubby's laptop runs Vista. He just installed SP2 (just before the SP1 expiration date) and the July updates he got show some 2009 and 2010 updates. Also updates from Feb-June 2011.

Should I go ahead and install everything? TIA!

 

I would install everything. If it gives a KB #, you could always go look in Add/Remove programs and make sure it isn't there already. It probably isn't there or it would not tell you it needs it.

 

Thanks, I will ask my hubby to check in Add/Remove as you suggested. I thought that this might be a problem others had experienced so I posted for help.

 

I am glad to report that all the updates were installed and so far everything is A-OK.
