Does anyone know where to find the mail files in Netscape 6.2, and how would I get them back to where I can read them in 4.8 or any other mail program? I'd rather not ever install version 6 on my new hard drive, I have quarantined it safely on a totally separate slave drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated since there is a lot of important data stored in emails that I cannot afford to lose. Thanks very much!

Thank you, MM...I looked in there, but although it does have a folder for profiles, there are no mail folders, like inbox, etc in the Profiles folder, or anywhere else for that matter that i can see. Where are the actual mail messages stored, do you know?

    thanks!

    Welcome to the Forum!

    Hi Shagpuppy,

The Mail Folders are located here:

    C: \Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\yourprofilename\xxxxxxxx.slt\Mail

There should be two sub folders under the Mail folder. I use NAV Email Protection, so I have a sub folder under Mail named 127.0.0.1, and another named Local Folders. My emails are stored in the 127.0.0.1 folder in the files with NO .msf extension. Yours should be very similar.

If you have more questions, let us know.

    Ramona :D

    Shagpuppy,

Looks like Ramona beat me to the answer. If she didn't know so much, I might be upset! :D Do let us know how you come out.
