genius video wonder cardbus [the signal is unblocked]

I have installed Genius video wonder cardbus, using an alternative driver as
the one on the CD associated with the hardware was not working.
Now I manage to see several channels, even if with a somewhat scarce quality. Now the question : from time to time an alert window appears,
saying "the signal is unblocked !! ". Nothing about it on the User Manual.
Moreover, several stations that I can see on digital TV are missing, like if the scan doesn't
cover all the possible span.

Hi,

Problems with "signal" are most likely due to the antenna not having a good reception, but also the cabling. If you are using ordinary television cabling, you may need higher quality or maybe filters installed. Are you "splitting" the cables? You may need a good quality splitter.

If it is seems due to the installation of the new drivers, you may need to completely uninstall the drivers and software. Remove the card and walk through the steps of installing it again, this time install the driver updates before you try scanning for channels, etc.

Edit: Just remembered...blocked channels relate to "pay for" services. Unblocked channels are "free to air ". If you are getting those messages often though, it is still likely to be a reception problem.
