This is what I get everytime I turn the computer on...or everytime it randomly restarts, which is does quite often and I haven't been able to figure out why. It's been doing that for a long time, but this generic host message has only recently started coming up. If I click to send/don't send the error report, I can't open anything on the desktop after that. If I click debug the computer restarts, sometimes immediately, sometimes it takes 10 minutes. If I just move the window out of the way, everything works for a while and then it freezes up. I really don't know much about computers...this is what it says when I click to see the error report details:

    szAppName:svchost.exe szAppVer:5.1.2600.2180 szModName:msvcrt.dll
    szModVer: 7.0.2600.2180 offset:000367ef

also in my temp files in Local C:/ under the local settings these keep popping up:
    \WERbbf7.dir00\svchost.exe.mdmp
    and \WERbbf7.dir00\appcompat.txt

I dont know if any of this means anything. Maybe someone can tell me.

I agree with PeteC. The file "msvcrt.dll" is being used to run something else. It isn't a bad file by itself, it is used to run programs written in certain languages.
