    Hello,
Does anyone know where to download the latest driver for a GeCube RADEON 9200SE 128 MB PCI NOT AGP BUT PCI!! I cant seem to find it on the ATI Website as i being downloading the AGP Drivers instead of PCI! I need a driver for Windows 2003 Server Standard edition or Windows XP Pro would be fine.
The problem is whenever i play any game that has 3d graphics used there are always lines popping out. I was wondering if you need the latest driver for this thats why i am requesting for a GeCube RADEON 9200SE 128 MB PCI NOT AGP BUT PCI!! Or if there is another way to fix it.
I do not think a radeon 9200 is that **** as i have a agp version of it on my other computer. The reason i can not put a agp card on my motherboard is it doesnt support apg card as it is a tyan serverboard =P.
    Please help me out.

    Thanks,

but i sitll have problems with GeCuBe Radeon 9200SE PCI Graphics card and it still Flickers grahpics around during game play with any game that uses 3d Graphics. I have posted picutres below to show an example of what i mean.

The games i have tested are as follows Ragnarok Online, Rome : Total War, Warcraft, Farcry,Battlefield 1942,Counter-Strike and many more.

They all flick during gameplay like shown in the pictures below and just keep flickering around with the graphics as you can see lines and etc. This Video card cannot be that **** that it would flicker like this during Ragnarok Online.

This game has 2d graphics and also 3d graphics and i dont think this Video card is crapper then its AGP version which i have on my other computer which works perfectly fine and the graphics look good and no problems.

Pictures are shown here (Please take a look):

Here are the specs of my computer :

    Matched PAIR, INTEL P4 XEON 2.8 gigz 512kb 533fsb, SL6VN

    Tyan Tiger GC-SL (S2727)

INFINEON 1024MB DDR REGISTERED ECC RAM

OS : Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition

The website for my motherboard is http://www.tyan.com/products/html/tigergcsl.html, My motherboard does not support AGP Slots so i had to buy a PCI slot. I also had the same experience when running on Windows XP Pro. I am sure i have updated everything and I really want to get rid of the flickering thing during games whenever i play so can anyone please suggest me anyway of getting rid of it?

A couple of problems that I can see. First as you are using Windows Server 2003, these games won't be written or optimised for W2K3. You are lucky that they install. But I believe that many games will, as will most programmes and most XP drivers. Have you done all the tweaks to turn W2K3 into efectively an update of XP, such as turning on Graphics and sound acceleration before updating to the XP graphics drivers, as well as download and install DirectX 9.0b or c "?
THe XP drivers may work for this card but are not guaranteed to. The actual Graphics card may have a conflict with Server 2003 as well. My Nvidia Ti4200 card works just fine under W2K3 Server Enterprise edition. You will see a noticeable improvement if you use a AGP card though.

The following is a guide to turn Server 2003 into a workstation. You will need to do some of these steps before game playing is available, such as turning on graphics acceleration.

I also mention that this flickering with textures of 3d graphics does still happen in windows xp but i might try it agian. Any other possilbe suggesiton? maybe clocking down the Vido card or clocking it up?? i dont knowm uch about video cards so i wouldnt know if i should clock it or not.

Borrow an AGP card, install latest XP drivers (not many W2K3 drivers out their) and compare. I still think you will (should) see a huge difference using an AGP card over PCI, particularly for 3D.

Suggest you run the card non clocked, but you could try a little bit of overclocking. But only a little as you could end up with other stability issues and screen redraw problems in both 2d and 3d applications.

Paul, I don't think the machine has an AGP slot.

I get those large patches of missing background when using my Radeon 7500 in Morrowind, but a 7500 is the minimum card for that game and I haven't bothered to work on it, I just live with the characters floating around in mid air. I don't get those streaks though.

I agree drivers may be the problem (even the way they have been installed). You might want to boot into Safe Mode and remove everything related to video in Add/remove programs and in Device Manager. Reboot and see what happens if Windows picks the drivers or cancel out of the install and run the driver program when you are in Windows (using "standard" video drivers).

If there are specific Win 2000 drivers, they may be better than the XP's.

    Update or reinstall DirectX.

Check the Microsoft website for any updates for DirectDraw.

You pointed to the motherboard website. Do you have the motherboard/chipset drivers installed? (and those may work better with Win 2000 rather than XP drivers??).

I just looked at the Tyan page, have you disabled the onboard video in the BIOS and you will probably need to remove all trace of those drivers.

Yes i have removed the Built in video which is the intergrated ATI Rage XL in Bios and on the Motherboard. Maybe there might be problems with drivers i dont know. But i might trying uninstalling everything and then reinstalling the drivers in safe mode and see what happens. I am also not sure which Chipset to download for my motherboard i know its on the site but i dont know which one is met for my motherboard.
