Funny one, system says win8 activated, but still warning pop up

Hi All

I have given up totally on win 8, even v8.1 a long time ago. However a friend who is still using win 8.1 complain that a warning that activation is required keeps popping up. The system dialog state otherwise, which to believe.

Any experience on this; I only trust the system dialog only or is something else erking.

 

Has he tried to activate it again? Seen this problem before and once done it goes away. Even though it was already activated.

 

After each activation, it stops for a while, but sure as sun rise, it pop up again. Nuisance!.

 

To turn off or disable the 'Activate Windows now' message, go to Action Center (Win + X > Control Panel). Under Security, simply click the option 'Turn off messages about Windows Activation'. Alternatively, you can open 'Change Action Center settings' from left-side pane and uncheck the Windows activation option.
