    Hello
I need a little guidance. I have FTP services running on a 2000 server. I can log on to the ftp server from within the LAN without problems. I even have different users setup to direct them to their own folder when they logon to the ftp server. Now my problem comes when I try to logon from the WAN. I am having permission troubles. I am behind a NAT server but I have 20 and 21 forwarded to the server and I am getting permission denied errors.
I tried logging on using the username and passwords for all the users including the Administrator.
I am hoping someone can help.
    Thanks!

One thing to try that fixes a surprising number of permission/log on problems, is to specify the domain in the user name. So instead of logging on as George, you would log on as DomainName/George. (it may be a backslash rather than a forward slash). If you don't specify a domain name, Windows can assume your Domain is the local PC. Inside your network you log into the domain when you start your computer. Outside, you log into your computer. That can make a difference.
