FTP access to computer

    is there a way to set up a folder on my computer at home so that i can access it by FTP or something at school? im running windows 2000.

    Set up an ftp server program.
    I like Bulletproof FTP, there are lots of others, some free.

    ok but would i could i just use a certain folder on my computer as the "server" to connect to?

    Why not take a look at the program reboot recommended. Good how-to with details on how it and other FTP server apps behave.

    The FTP program you run, will have the options of setting up any folder, and ONLY that folder as a share on the FTP.
    Some of them also allow multiple folder shares, each with their own password/access level.
    You have to get the program and set it up and play with it, to see what options you want to use.
    It's simpler than it sounds.
