We had a user submit a form that should be able to populate a .dwt file, and create a new web page with this information.

I haven't been able to figure out how to take the created form and make it populate the dwt file. Can anyone point me to a how-to link? (I've found plenty about how to MAKE a dwt file, but nothing yet about how to USE them... >_<)

Why create a dwt (template) from form inputs when you can just create the html from the form inputs.

It was there before I got here.

Basically, we have a "create this document" submission form on our net. That form gets sent to IT, and then we're supposed to publish it using the template.

Now, I can (and probably will) just open the template, edit it by hand and just get my work done. Save it as document.html and wash my hands of the whole thing. I just thought that since the template's already there... Why not try to save myself the typing?

There must be a server side application or script that generates the file from the form values. That's where you would need to look to fix things.
