A friend of mine who's running a WinME computer downloaded the setup program for AVG Antivirus. But she says it's telling her she needs something called a Valentine's Day Card maker for WinXP to run the setup.

    Hi shadowhawk
Have them run housecall before they continue on with an install of an antivirus, to rule out the possibility that they're already infected.

 They are already infected with a virus!

AVG does NOT need anything, much less a Valentine to install and run.

To compliment Daizy's ;) excellent suggestion of using HouseCall, you may also wish to run McAfee's FreeScan. One or both may have removal instructions.

This is one of those themed virii designed to prey on naivety and curiosity to get yu to unleash VBS/Valentin@MM, Yaha or one of 12 other variations.

You should be able to get around that ridiculous message and install AVG anyhow, then update and run it to get rid of it if the online scans aren't as successful as anticipated.
