I really don't know what to make of this. Running on XP, computer restarts itself at different intervals. A blue screen with white copy shows up as its restarting and "performing a (kernel?) dump." It basically keeps mentioning if any new hardware or software was installed, remove - delete - reinstall. BUT nothing is new.

    Tech Info reads:

    STOP: 0x0000007f (0x0000000d, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I'm pretty much just going by the basic memory of what I keep seeing. Does anyone have any idea what this is about? Also after months of this happening, my lcd monitor went pfffft. The computer can run for up to six straight hours before this will happen, or... it will keep doing it every 15 minutes until I get frustrated and shut it down.

Most likely hardware / electrical issues and nothing good. Make sure any files you are fond of (your documents, email folders, favorites, etc.) are backed up some place off the main system so to tape or CD or similar.

We need more detail to be able to help. You will need to set your PC to crash to a BSOD (blue screen of death) rather than rebooting as it seems to be doing now and to create a mini-dump file when it crashes. May need a full dump at some point but not for now.

Right click the my computer icon
    Left click Properties
    Click Advanced
Under Startup & Recovery click Settings
Set your system like the picture and reboot.

Next crash will take you to a blue screen. Jot down the main info at the top and post it in a reply here. If that's not enough information, we'll need you to locate the then locate the mini-dump file and copy it here. Text file but pretty large and will need some stuff done to it before you post it but lets wait on specifics until/unless needed.
