Have you scanned for and removed spyware? If not, download, install, immediately update and then run Spybot and Ad-Aware. Read the help files to familiarize yourself with how they work. I recommend you use them both since each tends to find things the other misses. Let them clean up any spyware found.

Do you have Microsoft Office or any Microsoft office application installed? If so, Find Fast is probably running. Look in the Start Menu's Startup entry and if Find Fast is there, right click on it and delete it.

Look at all the programs you have starting up when Windows loads. For those you don't need running all the time, open them and look around in their Options/Settings/Preferences (whatever term each uses) for a way to disable their loading on startup.

Post back in this thread to let us know how you're getting along. :)

    Hi
thank you for the reply. I do run Spy Bot every week and did so yesterday again. Fast find isnt running and I have eliminated any other programs that I didnt need. I haven't installed anything lately so it can't be that. I did notice that when I go to the control panel and device manager that there is a ! on existiing Ndis1driver. I tried to update the driver but it says I have the best one for it. I don't know if that means anything but the exclamation point was never there before. Think that means anything?

    Rhody1 :)
