Hi - long time since I needed to post. It is a question about my free space readings - when I use my defrag it shows the space and the free space each time - thing is that it seems to change and awful lot - and i am not one to add tons of software or huge files in one day! It changes sometimes as much as 80MB in one day!? Am I missing something? Why such a huge change ? thanks. m

Lot's of things will change the amount of free space being reported. Things like files in the windows\temp folder and tempory internet files, even the size of your swap file changes.

When's the last time you got rid of temp files?

Do you have the Task Monitor running? That creates an applog that can get pretty big.

There are other things as well. All you can do is try to keep up with cleaning out the junk as often as necessary.
