    Hello

I noticed something about the free space of my first partition, which has a total capacity of 19.1 GB.

Get a load of these numbers:

    Total capacity: 19.1 GB
    Free space: 3 GB

However, when I select every file (including hidden and swap file) on that partition and click Properties, I get: 12.5 GB

    What gives? Any idea?

If you have lots and lots of small files you could easily lose that much space to overhead. I took the following from a help file:
Does a defrag run OK? It should maybe help some if the above is adding to your problem. Bad sectors will do that sort of thing too.

    NTFS or FAT32?

I am running NTFS. There are no bad sectors on my hard drive .. certainly not a few GB of them.

    Any other idea?
