    Hi
I'm having problems with my "Free Cell" game.

I believe that at some time I downloaded some critical updates from windows update and it did something to my free cell game. I'm just guessing

When I call it up I get the board but no cards, and a hour glass when the cruser is on the board.

I searched micro softs knowledge base and came up with some fixes but they are all at least a year old and this just started happening.

Can anyone help me here, if I uninstall it, is there a place I can download free cell full version "for free ".

    Geri,

Even though the fixes are a year old, I would try them. At this point, what have you got to lose. If you uninstall the game ( I don't see mine in the Add/Remove section) you can reinstall using the 98 disk.

Those fixes are a year old because that's about when the problem started cropping up.

It happened on my Win98 system when I installed Sygate's firewall. I've see other programs create the same problem, though, so finding out which one can be time consuming.

I agree with Minnesota Mike...just go ahead and try the fixes.

    Hi
    Thanks.
I also have sygate, but that was not the problem. It ended up being my Mcafee.
Talking to them, they had me "end task" on the mcvsescn.exe file.
    This solved the problem.
    Thanks again.

    Geri,

Thanks for the update. At least it was an easy fix.
