Something happened to my free cell game. All other games is working. When I try to open the game, I get a message: close or ignore, to continue, save file some where else, then the illigal program comes up and says: CARDS.DLL at 0001=00000903. Can someone tell me how to get the file back for free cell?

    Thanks, Againstthewind

I have had this one - the same error but with Solitaire, no problem with
FreeCell. These MS games do not seem to like it, if for some reason, the dll
"cards" is not compatible with the version of the game executable using it.
How the incompatibility arises is a mystery to me.
Try deleting cards.dll and then all games in Windows (Control Panel).
Reboot and re-install all games with Control Panel/Windows Setup again.
You will need the Windows install CD or whatever.
    regards

Well I tried that and it didn't work. When I went to control panel, under accessories, all that was showing was the solitaire emblem. There wasn't anything for Hearts, mine sweeper (which I don't use) but I uninstalled the solitaire emblem, rebooted, check the accessories, no games was listed, then I reinstalled. Did I have to reboot after reinstalling? I have tried this before and it didn't work, but thought I would try again. When it started acting up is when I download a screensaver and didn't like it and I uninstalled it. Maybe I didn't read the options well enough when it said "are you sure..... "
I also encountered a problem with my printer. The only way I can get the printer to work is go to control + alt+ delete and "end task" the "Rundll32 ". This all happened about the same time.

    Thanks, Againstthewind

Was this a 'free screensaver'? These things install other things, such as Flashget [they do advise you of this in the EULA (the part where you click Accept)] and a couple of other things that are called adware, that do not uninstall when you uninstall the screensaver. Yes, these things will give your problems.
To be sure of this, get SpyBot Search & Destroy, install, then have it update first. Have it Check for Problems, and remove everything already checked off.
