    Can anyone recommend a safe free antivirus for Windows ME system? I had AVG Free, but that ended in the spring as AVG is no longer supporting anything older than Windows 2000. I see so many mentioned on google but I am a little skitish about which ones are really worthy, and safe. Thanks.

    I use Avira and or Avast. You'll have to take a look to see if they run on Win ME.

    Avast is compatible, Avira is not.

    Thanks gentlemen for your very helpful advice. I am using avast, and though slow at starting, it seems to be working fine.
