When I click a link to send an email Foxfire trys to start Outlook. I do not have Outlook on this computer I only have Outlook Express. How do I tell Foxfire that I want to start Outlook express.

    OLDSALTY,

Have you checked the Internet Options to ensure that you have made Outlook Express your default Mail Program? That would be Start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options, Programs Tab, (Windows 98/98SE).

Windows XP would be in Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access & Defaults | Choose a Default Email Program. (I think, since I don't run XP.)

Ramona is correct. There is a button on the left side. But, what good does it do to set anything? There are significant contradictions if I set Microsoft Windows, or Computer manufacturer. With Custom Settings, I cannot keep a check mark to access my default, Mozilla Thunderbird, if I use the "use current e-mail program ".
Access is also from Start|Set Program Access and defaults.
And, finally, it is selecting Mozilla Thunderbird as default mail. What was it before? And, this settings "change" are taking forever. The progress stay at above 50%, I don't know if I should keep such setting. If Outlook is listed it should be taken out

You can set the program options in Win XP for Internet Options just like in Win 98. Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs tab and choose Outlook Express as your email program. Click "apply" and that should work.

Thanks everyone I have done this, set internet options - programs to OE. I as of yet not encountered a place to try it on the web. I guess it's working because when I click "Read Mail" or "New Message" OE starts. I thought that "Internet Options" was for IE but I guess it is for the computer and operating system.
