In Netscape Mail 7.02 When ever I choose to "Edit message as New" most times I do not have the option under "View" to have the Formatting Toolbar. When I "Compose" a new message the option to have the "Formatting Toolbar is always there. It does not matter if the messages I choose to "Edit as new" originated from me, or I received them from others. It's a **** shoot whether I get the "Formatting Toolbar "

There's a setting in your Mail account settings for you to decide if you want to compose HTML-ed email.

    Hello Antony,
I already have the option checked to (Compose messages in HTML format). This problem only happens when I (Edit a Message from my (Inbox) "As New "). I will cycle the option by unchecking & close Netscape & than recheck the box just for the heck of it. Your suggestion did get me thinking about other places to check for HTML. I have 5 different address folders and the Properties for "my address" was different in each one. I have now set them all to receive messages in HTML format. I viewed the "Message Source" for the messages that don't have the (Formatting Toolbar) and found this--- (Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1). I'm guessing that even thought I send the message in HTML, when I received that same message back, it saved it as "plain text ". I'll need to do some email tests to verify... Thanks for your help... drhans2..
