formatting laptop

    hi, my friend asked me to format her laptop running windows 98 and i have not formatted a computer before and i was just hoping if somone could post all the step i need to do so i don't manage to destroy her laptop.

    Before formatting I would make sure to have all of the drivers you might need.

    Also check to see if she has a recovery CD for the laptop, that would probably be your best bet to ensure you have all the right drivers.
