    Hi again..
Thanks for your reply . Tried right clicking my computer, ect and found 29.42 gigs of unallocated space.
It asks for primary or extended, when you go to either it gives the option of 30130megs max size , tried to change this to gigs but wouldnt let me .Will try partition Magic . but first any thoughts?

That 30132megs is the most you will get out of it cause the math is different so thats as high as it will get. So go with it.

Only that I don't see why you need PM. That 30130megs is 29.42 gigs.

Don't get confused by the apparent size differences from different reports.

Hard drive manufacturers, for example, generally use a million bytes as a megabyte. In actual fact, a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes which is 1024 bytes. So a "megabyte" in strict usage is 1024x1024=1048576 bytes. This makes the drive seem larger than it actually is to prospective customers.

In other words, any hard drive you buy will report a smaller amount of free space than the manufacturer claimed and that "32 gig" drive becomes a 30 gig one.

You can format that 30130 meg (29.42 gig) partition and make it a drive or subdivide it to smaller drives. Either way, you have all your space. You probably don't need PM (unless you want to change partitions or expand your 8 gigs into more of the drive).

PS. 30130/1024=29.423828125 so there are your 29.42 gigs).
