format drv's

want to fdisk & format several hard drives ,what is the a: switches for it

Boot from a win98 boot floppy

Fdisk gives a menu to remove etc

you would remove all logical drives then extended partitions then primary partitions

then decide how many partitions you want and what size

example 40g hd you want 4 partitions 10g each

first create a primary 10g and set to active
then create extended partition from the remaining 30g
then chose create logical drives in the extended partition
make them 10g each etc


after fdisk to format with dos

for c: format c: /u /s

for any other drives format d: /u (or e: or f: etc)

/u unconditional

/s system
