I hope I'm not getting to the party late, but I recently discovered / installed Forecastfox Enhanced (see page bottom for pics) an "enhanced version" of Forecastfox. Have been running for about 5 days and is very stable. The features it adds ....
The radar feature is nice. With Forecastfox when you hoover your cursor over the radar icon it displays a static postage stamp size radar picture. With enhanced version, animated radar image with sizing upto 640x480 pop to screen. The options I chose for radar are "Combo" for radar and Satellite combined view, Animation and 6480 x 480 view size.... works very nice. I'm using the same image provider that Forecastfox defaults to (based on your zip code). Options include inputting non-default radar views which I have not tried.
Install rules state you MUST uninstall all version of Forecastfox, which I did (but for safety I exported Settings and Profile first). Installed Forecastfox Enhanced and it picked up all my settings/profiles and looks and operates identical ... except offers the enhanced options. It is currently on it's 5th update, so I can only assume they keep it current (?) with Forecastfox.

I have used nothing but the Enhanced Version since I became aware of it, a few versions ago, primarily because of the generous radar image.
Note that I was having a terrible time using Firefox3.0a1 nightly.Typing was excruciatingly slow, and scrolling was as bad. I cannot say that it was the solution of the problem, but I uninstalled the Nightly Tester Extension, and install the MR Local Install extention, and it moves like it used to be. I may have been a coincidence since I had to restart the browser. To make a long story short neither NightlyTester nor MR Local Install could do a thing in helping me to get an operational Forecastfox Enhanced. It is fine in Bon Echo FF2.0a3, FF1.5.04 and FF1.0.8, but it yields errors in 3.0a1. The very minimalistic Weatherbug extention is ok.
