    Hi!

    I have been a satisfied AVG (www.grisoft.com) 6.0 user, but I'm still curious about its other non-free versions (e.g., Professional, etc.).

    I would appreciate any inputs from users of the Professional version. As a free edition user, what am I missing out?

    One thing you are missing is to configure the system scan, and the quick test. You could leave out an entire partition, or folders, add/delete file types, or drive selection. You can add files to the quick test, such as scanregw.exe.
    The Advanced setting of the main program just changes to an Explorer type view of tests, test results, service, information and then help. Click on what you want after expanding the folder [looks like the old windows help book icon, but green], then the appropiate window opens.
    The updates seem to me about the same frequency of availability.
    The Systray icon is exactly the same.

    using pro?

    Mark, thanks for your input. From your post, I presume you are using the Professional version. Am I right?

    Yes, I am, 6.0. I have used the free edition, before. When the pro is running in Basic mode, there is no visual difference.
