After my computer has been on for several hours, and I have several programs open, including MS Word, I notice that the fonts in Word go nuts, as if they are becoming Wingdings or something. This has been happening regularly. I always notice this first in Word, then it apparently spreads to all the other open programs, only affecting the fonts that are displayed, whether in the program document or dialog box, and it also affects the fonts on the desktop and even the Start Menu.

When I restart the computer, the problem goes away. I've checked for viruses and excessive heat. Does this seem like a graphics card problem?

I have Win 98SE, with 384 MB Ram, 30 MB HD, 500 Mhz AMD K6-2, and a 16 MB dual-head Matrox graphics card (with latest driver installed).

    Thanks...

    Gene
