When I used Outlook Express I could happily set the text size for IE as 'Medium' and the text size for the display of received mail in OE as 'Smallest'.

These settings seemed to co-exist wirth no problems.

Now, if I change the default text size in Outlook that also seems to change the text size in IE.

I'm sure I've seen somewhere ( :( ) where this issue is, or can be resolved. Whether that was to do with the printed page specifically I'm not sure, but surely it should be possible for the two different sizes to co-exist as between IE and Outlook?

Any comments or advice would be most appreciated.

Yes, well. That only works for mail that I am composing or sending.

What I want to do is to force received mail into a smaller font.

Specifcally, some regular emails that I receive in HTML. I can force those into 'smallest' using OE, with no effect on IE. I do not appear to be able to do this in Outlook.

There must be a solution to this, I feel certain.

Not sure about global/default settings but I usually just size them to suit by holding down the CTRL key and scrolling my mouse wheel. Gets to be so automatic after a couple of days I don't even notice I'm doing it.

You might need to set the accessibility options in IE to ignore font sizes specified by web pages though.
