For some reason, my default font size in IE6 has decreased. This has nothing to do with the "View-->Text Size" option. To give you an idea, the default error screen

( "The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for ... " )

is displayed in a very small font. If I use the "View-->Text Size" option, then the bullets get larger and smaller, but not the text.

Does anyone know why this happened and how I can change it back?

    Keith

P.S. Changing the font under the Internet Options doesn't seem to help either. As far as I can see, all settings are already at the default in comparison to another computer we have.

Nope, I assume certain pages have a tag to use the default font settings. So, I think these are the pages where the font size is smaller.

Go to Tools - Internet Options - General - Accessibilty. Which (if any) options are selected?

... and this problem is limited to IE? No other programs are affected?

    Is Eudora installed?

    OS?

Have you tried IE's Repair Tool?

BTW - as a temporary workaround you can, if you have a wheel mouse, spin the wheel whilst holding ctrl to alter the text size.

As far as I can see, it's only an IE problem. Don't have netscape to compare.

    Using windows XP.
    No Eudora.
    Haven't tried repair tool.

I don't know what the problem was, but I did fix it. Using Windows XP, I went to my System properties/Advanced tab. Under Performance Settings, I checked the "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" option, and then unchecked it. Doing so, must've reset the setting that I had been looking for (but never found). Hope this helps anyone who has this problem in the future.

    Keith

P.S. I like my Windows XP to look like the classic Windows 2000. So in most cases, the visual styles option will probably be checked. So it should be unchecked and then checked (rather than the opposite in my case).
