All my folders open maxed and fills my 19" monitor. I have set it in folder options to open[ remember each folders view settings.] This is done after I get it down to the size I want. I know I can click it down, but that is getting old hat. I know there is a way as it was OK once. I have Win XP home edition. Help

Have you tried resetting the windows to their original settings?

From an open Explorer Window click on Tools, Folder Options, View, Reset All Folders.

Also when the window is in full screen which button is displayed in the upper right corner of the title bar "Maximize, or "Restore Down "? If when you hover your mouse over this button the word Maximize is displayed than you should be able to move down to the lower right hand corner of the screen and drag the corner up and left until the window is the size you want.

Now click on the Maximum button and the window will reopen to full screen, click on this button again (Restore Down) to set the window back to the size you selected.

Also when the window is in full screen and you right clock on the title bar - Is "Restore" an available option? If so, clicking on this should set the window back to the original size?

    Maxed Folders

Have tried all this. When you reset all folders it tiles them as default. This is not good as it takes too much room. I have tried all of the folder options and no help for the problem. I may have done this because if I recall they were ok once, after I had them set as I wanted. Thanks for the try. Maybe someone else can suggest another way. Anyone? Help BOB!
