folder password

    Is it possible to assign a password to a particular folder. If so, how ?

    Yes, but you need additional software.
    Search on the net for
    folder password
    then choose one to try out - some are free, some are shareware.

    If you are just trying to hide a particular folder from you parents or your children or something like that the easiest thing to do is to make the folder hidden. (right click...properties then check hidden). Then go to TOOLS FOLDER OPTIONS then VIEW. Under hidden files and folders go to Do not show hidden files and folders. Then whenever you want to get to the folder just repeat this but do the opposite and show the folder. I know it sounds like a pain but it really is quite simple.

    Yes, you could do that. The snag is that the hidden/not hidden
    attribute is easily changed and I reckon you cannot stop anyone from chainging it - maybe poledit.exe but doubt it.
    Which way you go depends on the degree of protection you want and how PC-savvy the people are that you wish to hide
    the Foder/s from.
