floppy drive reading for long time during win98 startup window comes

    hi guys i notedown when on the computers and startup windows comes and load all programmes that time floppy drive reading automaticaly and there is no any disketed inside foppy drive so because of this it's take long time to load all programmes why the floppy drive is reading always any idea solution thanx

    Hi z4u

    Try this, on the desktop right click My Computer and select Properties.
    Click the Performance tab, then File System.
    In the File System Properties window click the Floppy Disk tab.
    Remove the check from:
    "Search for new floppy disk drives each time your computer starts."
    Click Apply and OK.
