flash video downloads wont play

    just downloaded a batch of FLV files from Utube I have the latest Flashplayer but it wont play them - nothing will. What to do??

    Search Google for VLC PLayer. That'll play just about anything! I recently pulled a load of .PES video files off my DVR, and it even plays those!

    Also look on CNET or similar for YouTube Downloader. This will allow you to convert the YouTube video to more common formats that WMP can handle.

    That Utube downloader is really trash -it could not convert any FLV files PLUS it added this "searchme" toolbar which was very intrusive and caused system failure - I took it off right away - will try other suggestions.

    VLC player does work great - many thanks BTW the little ad above for CNET FLV player is very BAD, when I click on it it caused Firefox to crash 3 times, NOT good
