When I plug my Flash Drive into a USB Port I get a message to the effect that it could operate faster if I plugged it into a USB 2.0 Port.

Would anyone know how I can do this?

What type of machine are you running? Older machines did not have 2.0 capability built in. You can purchase a plug in card for that though. Check at your local computer store.

    Thank you for the reply.

I have fairly new equipment and have received this message on a number of machines.

They all support USB 2.0 but I don't know how to get the flash drive to use it.

Check in Device Manager. Click Start
    Control Panel
    Administrative Tools
    Computer Management
    Device Manager.
Scroll towards the bottom to Universal Serial Bus controllers
click on + sign to expand.
See if USB 2.0 Enhanced is listed at top

Are you plugging into the front panel slots? on my machine, 2.0 doesn.t work but regular USB does. If I insert into a rear panel slot, 2.0 works fine.
