    i have just downloaded the new Firefox now, just went to the Help menu and check for updates and it downloaded and installed without any issues, only been using it for 2mins so too early to see any improvements :D

    Marty,
    I don't believe that you should see improvements. It is, mainly, a security update.
    Some of the fixes are for critical vulnerabilities

    ah i thought i read somewhere that this update fixed a crash problem between Firefox and Vista or am i getting mixed up with something else? Probably just me getting mixed to be honest but as you said i haven't noticed any improvements :)

    I have reports from 3 people where this particular update went wrong, messing up settings, add-ons, etc.
    For another person, and myself (Vista), it went without a problem.
    Just in case, you may backup, before installing.

    There isn't a build which does not cause problems for someone.
    As for add-ons, I use Mr Tech Local Install, or Nightly Tester Tools to by-pass compatibility checks. I, normally, have no problem, except with a couple of add-ons (notably Roboform). But, nothing this time.
