I found a couple of non-features in Firefox1.5, which do not exist in FF1.0.7 (that's why I never get rid of anything).
The first one is pretty laughable. It seems that every other URL which comes up in 1.0.7, gives me an instant "site not found" in FF1.5, i.e. a "duh? "
I hit reload, and it works.
The second one is annoying enough that I doubt I will be using 1.5, unless it changes. A number of sites, like KUT-FM show a popup when I hit "listen ". The popup is large enough to use, but less than half the width than other browsers, and, non sizable.
I have dealt with other websites which have resizable popups, which revert to the original, and, at least one at a bank website which should allow me to change the pay date, non-resizable, and, hardly any of the calendar visible, i.e. useless.
    Has anyone had similar problems?

Just ignore me. It may a profile issue. I tried to start Firefox in Safe Mode, except which Firefox was in the Startup, as I have two of them installed. It was obvious 1.5 only came up in Safe Mode. So, I need a tiebreaker, in the form of another profile. My 1.6a1 has no problem, and zillions of extentions.

New extention, and no problem. Each extention was put back in, and I had no problem.I have six extention of my own. I don't mess with Themes.

Remember the old adage that "a good workman never blames his tools." (Sorry ... I couldn't resist! :))

    Jim,
replies like yours are "priceless ".
And, to add another FF1.5 problem. My ISP is Cox, and the homepage is
http://omaha.cox.net After the page is loaded, I am being prompted to open or download an "ap-audio long number.ra.ra" file (openable with Real Rhapsody). I think that it is of Associated Press. I can cancel that, and proceed. I am using the same homepage in every other program which I have, and, as you well know, I have way too many, and none of them show this propensity.
It did not do that with the wacky profile.
I don't expect any useful suggestion, other than stop using 1.5, or using that website.

Solution #3 worked. I wen t into Safe Mode, and had no problem. I uninstalled the Media Player Connectivity extention, then reinstalled it, and everything is ok. Are tools pretty good? All bets are off with extentions.
