Firefox security

    Why is it that Firefox browser is so much safer than IE5, or is this not the case?

    IE5 shouldn't be use anymore, period. As far as IE is concerned, IE6 should be run.

    Basically FF doesn't have ActiveX built in, a vector for a great many malware intrusions. FF does however have an ActiveX plugin now.

    FF is also faster off the mark in fixing vulnerabilties.
