Firefox Search Thing

It's hard to explain, but whenever I type something in when searching, this thing pops up that gives me options to click what I've recently searched. It's getting annoying, so how do I turn it off?

 

This needs to be added to your userChrome.css file.
#PopupAutoComplete > .autocomplete-tree { display: none !important; }
.autocomplete-history-dropmarker { display: none !important; }

You can do it manually or with the Stylish extension.

I thought there was an easier way. My cousin showed me how he turned his off just by going into options or something.

 

Nope, nothing I've ever seen will do it in the Options dialog. See:

Tools | Options | Privacy |Saved Forms

Disable the option to: Save information I enter in Forms and Search Bar
